Trainee Accounts & Sales Assistant

About the role:

This is a new role within the business and great opportunity to get started in a supported environment.

A full time role, working Monday to Friday, alongside our experienced sales and purchase ledger team. This role would suit someone looking to begin a career in accountancy, or applicants considering a career change and are happy to start in an entry-level position.

Duties will include:

• Administration duties within the sales and purchase ledger team – including matching of delivery receipts, processing of invoices, ensuring correct nominal and departmental codes are used.
• Maintaining sales ledger processing using Sage, Mandata and internal systems.
• Working within the reception department to undertake general administrative tasks, such as filing, photocopying, collating documents and liaising with internal departments for outstanding paperwork.
• To answer and direct calls according to agreed standards.
• To meet, greet and direct visitors to the office.
• Set up and clearing the meeting rooms (equipment and refreshments) as and when required.
• Liaising with the company PA with regards to meetings in the diary and the requirements for these.
• To frank and deliver the outgoing mail to the Post Office daily and purchase any items required.

A full driving licence is required for this role; however, we are happy to consider applications from anyone currently working towards gaining their licence.
