Ferguson Transport & Shipping are proud to have sponsored the Camanachd Association National Shinty Finals recently. It was a great afternoon watching the next generation of shinty players and they all played amazingly throughout. 
 
Huge congratulations to Caol Primary winning the P6/7 championship, Hilton Primary winning the P4/5 championship and well done to all the teams and players who took part.

Once again, the quality of teams in the draw and the exciting prospect of the final on the 27th July at Spean Bridge, our companies home village in the Highlands for many years, it will lead to a very exciting shinty date in our calendar. Ferguson Transport & Shipping appoint new Directors

A message from our Group Managing Director, Alasdair Ferguson:
 
“I am delighted to confirm that Jill Ferguson, our General Manager of our Service Department, with over 30 years’ experience, Colin MacKinnon our General Haulage Transport Manager, along with Michael Oliver, Aquaculture & Forestry Transport Manager who between them have over 60 plus years of experience, will all come on board as Directors of Ferguson Transport. Also joining the Board of Directors will be Kevin Ferguson as Director of Projects for the port side of our business. Kevin joins the Board with 15 years plus of experience with the company, having a mechanical engineering and project management background.
 
We are delighted that our Senior Management board team members are progressing now to Director level. They bring with them, long service to the Company, experience, enthusiasm and drive. To allow for progressive planning within our group of companies, we look to promote new members of the team to senior management level.
 
Leslie Innes who retired earlier on in the year from the main board, will remain as a non-executive Director and shareholder within the FT&S, Group of Companies.
 
We would like to take this opportunity to welcome and congratulate Jill, Colin, Michael and Kevin in joining our board of Directors.”

Winner of Scottish Haulage Company of the Year 2023

We are delighted to announce that Ferguson Transport (SB) Ltd have won the prestigious national transport award of Scottish Haulage Company of the Year at the Transport News Scottish Rewards presentation today in Glasgow.

Group Managing Director, Alasdair Ferguson said “It is an honour to receive this award on behalf of the Company. Such an award is huge recognition of the dedication and commitment shown by the Group Directors, the Senior Management Team and all of our employees. We as a business strive to grow and better ourselves, continuously looking to see where we can improve and set high standards above and beyond and winning the award is real testament to how hard our Team have worked to achieve this”.

Ferguson Transport & Shipping were delighted to sponsor Rotary Club of Lochaber’s annual Christmas Festival again this year. 

Alasdair Ferguson, Group Managing Director of Fergusons said “Once again we are delighted to be sponsoring Lochaber Rotary’s Annual Christmas Festival by funding the visit of the very special Cairngorm Reindeer. The success of the festival is down to the hard work of the Rotary Club and we are very proud of the partnership we have developed over the years. Feedback from the judges is that the standard this year was excellent and deciding on the winners for the short stories and poems competition was very close indeed! We are all looking forward to another great day of Christmas festivities.”

Proud to support Fort William Festive Fund team again this year

Ferguson Transport Welcomes RHA Driving Simulator

Ferguson Transport & Shipping were delighted to welcome RHA Training Scotland during their tour of the Highlands to showcase their new HGV simulator.

The Road Haulage Association developed the driver-simulator programme to help equip professionals with the essential skills required to thrive in what has become a rapidly evolving sector.
Drivers and staff had a fantastic time testing out the simulator and exploring the capacity of this state-of-the-art technology.

Port and Marine Services supporting arrival of Northern Producer at Kishorn Port

Well sone to our Port & Marine Services team on supporting the arrival of the Northern Producer into the Dry Dock at Kishorn Port Ltd.
 
Our team provided key services on the arrival and the management of the dock gate movements. These services included ballast management, cranage, mooring line handling & tensioning, vessels & ROV support and road logistics to name a few.
The Northern Producer entered the Dry Dock for dismantle and recycling of the 12,500 GT semi-submersible vessel. Ferguson Transport & Marine Services will continue to support the project throughout the schedule.
