University of Aberdeen Visit Kishorn Port & Dry Dock
Yesterday, Tuesday 9th April, KPL Directors Alasdair Ferguson and Simon Russell welcomed 30 students and senior academic staff from the University of Aberdeen on site at Kishorn. The students are studying towards a post graduate MSc qualification in Oil & Gas Enterprise Management, a one year full time course unique to the University.
The attendees were interested in the attributes of the facilities and in particular the Dry Dock, lay-down area and the sites capacity and future plans within the Oil & Gas and Decommissioning sectors.
The visit included a presentation by Simon Russell on the history of the site, current works and KPL’s plans and aspirations for the future. This was then followed by a tour of the site and facilities by fellow Director Alasdair Ferguson. This gave the guests the opportunity to walk around areas of the site and see first-hand the unique qualities of the facilities at Kishorn.
