Ross, Skye and Lochaber MP Charles Kennedy Meets with Directors
On Thursday 26th February 2015 Charles Kennedy MP and his Campaign Organiser Conn O’Neill for the Scottish Liberal Democrats visited Ferguson Transport & Shipping to meet with Group Managing Director, Alasdair Ferguson and Group Director, Leslie Innes.
Already well affiliated with the local area and the company, Mr Kennedy put forward further his current campaign for improving the A82, Highland infrastructure and local investments needed for businesses within his constituency, which in turn benefit the local area and the UK as a whole.
Major blue-chip companies operate within Mr Kennedy’s constituency in sectors such as: aquaculture, forestry, whisky and aluminium. Basic issues which Highland businesses are faced with across the board, include poor travelling conditions, particularly by road, lack of good mobile signal, or any mobile signal at all and broadband connectivity.
Group Managing Director of Ferguson Transport & Shipping, Alasdair Ferguson, reiterated that greater government investments and focus are essential for business opportunities to prosper further on the North West Coast of Scotland.
