Supporting the Communities we Operate in

Ferguson Transport & Shipping are proud to help support the areas we operate in and in years gone by we have backed various organisations from The Camanachd Association to flower displays, local schools, voluntary groups and charity events right across the board.

Spean Bridge Golf Club

Support at the Spean Bridge Golf Club on July 5th; Spean Bridge was the base of Ferguson Transport & Shipping for over 35 years and we sponsored tee no.7, which is the closest tee to our old yard at Spean Bridge.

The money from various business supporters for each tee helped raise funds for the club.

Harris Ross Texas Scramble

We helped support the ‘STAR for Harris’ charity, which aims to back treatment and raise awareness with their ‘key aims of highlighting the need for earlier diagnosis of childhood cancer and in supporting the treatment of childhood cancer’.

We continued our support this year by putting forward 12 members of staff to enjoy a game of golf and to show our commitment to an extremely good cause. To add to a great day, our Financial Controller, Robert Chalmers, was successful in winning ‘the chipping the golf ball into the paddling pool’ and in return won a golfing trip to Gleneagles!

The fundraiser was held at Fort William Golf Club on July 27th and raised £6,540!

Football

The Welfare League, John Baird Cup Final, played at the old BA club; Caol Utd and Lundavra 7 – 1 on July 4th.

Ferguson Transport & Shipping also assisted prior to the match delivering the goals to the pitch in Fort William.

Highland Games/ Agricultural Shows

Ferguson Transport & Shipping support and attend various local shows throughout our operating area from the Arisaig Highland Games, Mallaig & Morar Games, Sunart & District Agricultural Show Day, The Lochcarron Highland Games, Lochaber Show and The Black Isle Show.
